The following instructions are based on Meizu / Mblu devices running Flyme OS.
To ensure that the app can run properly in the background and that charging notifications or alarms work correctly, please check the following settings.
1. Allow Background Activity
If your device has Phone Manager, check the following setting:
Phone Manager → Permission Management → Background Management → [App Name]
Make sure [App Name] is allowed to continue running in the background.
Flyme OS may automatically restrict or close background apps to reduce battery consumption.
2. Disable Battery Optimization
Go to the following menu or a similar menu:
Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Battery
If available, configure the following settings so that the app is not restricted:
- Battery optimization → Don't optimize
- Background activity → Allow
- Unrestricted → Select
Available options may vary depending on the Android and Flyme OS version.
3. Allow Auto-launch
Look for one of the following options in Settings or Phone Manager:
Auto-launch / Startup Management / App Launch
Allow [App Name] to start automatically.
If Auto-launch is restricted, the app may not restart properly after it has been stopped by the system.
4. Allow the App to Run After the Screen Is Turned Off
Some versions of Flyme OS provide an additional setting for background activity.
Check:
Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Battery
or
Phone Manager → Battery / Power Management → [App Name]
If you see Keep running after screen off or a similar option, enable it.
This setting is particularly important for apps that need to continue operating while the screen is off.
5. Check Power Saving Settings
Go to:
Settings → Battery / Power Management
Check whether any of the following features are restricting the app:
- Power Saving Mode
- Battery Saver
- Smart Power Saving
- App Power Management
If possible, avoid using aggressive power-saving features while the app needs to operate continuously in the background.
6. Lock the App in Recent Apps (If Available)
Open the app and then open the Recent Apps screen.
If Lock or a padlock icon is available in the app's menu, lock the app.
This may help prevent the app from being closed when the system clears recent or background apps.
If You Cannot Find These Settings
Menu names and locations may vary depending on the Meizu / Mblu device model, Android version, and Flyme OS version.
Try searching for the following keywords in the Settings app:
- Background Management
- Background Activity
- Battery Optimization
- Unrestricted
- Auto-launch
- App Launch
- Power Saving
- Battery Saver
If your device has Phone Manager, please also check Background Management and Auto-launch related settings.
Note: Flyme OS may automatically manage background apps to reduce battery consumption. Therefore, apps that need to run continuously in the background may require additional battery and background activity permissions.
